Muhammad Nabil had a commanding weekend in the Senior category at the non-championship round of the Rotax Asia Challenge held at the Diamond Coast International Karting Circuit in Hong Kong last weekend. Nabil was at the top of all sessions including the warm ups by a healthy margin, leaving others seconds behind in a matter of laps in the races. Mikko Nassi made it to second in the final after starting in 7th.
In the Masters category Malaysian driver John King overcame a crash on the first lap of the final which dropped him to last to stage an amazing comeback by taking the race win! Rolf Seibl finished the race in 2nd.
In the Juniors Calvin Seibl took the win ahead of Matthew Solomon and Brendan Seibl.
This additional Rotax Asia Challenge round was held as a precursor to a possible championship round to be held in Hong Kong next year and preparations have now started to make it a reality.
