The first round of the Malaysian Rotax Max Challenge was held last weekend at the Sepang International Karting Circuit. Imran Zaharias took closely contested Senior Max category while Farriz Fauzy took the win in the new DD2 category. Yasuo Senna Iriawan took the Cadet victory only just ahead of Andhika Sasabone. Freddy Lawan monstered his way to a comfortable victory in the 18-kart Masters field. Indonesian driver Kevin Susilo impressed in the Rotax Junior category taking the win ahead of Ryan Ritchie.
