BRP Rotax Karting
BRP Rotax began their involvement in karting back in the 1980's when they produced a limited number of high performance 100cc engines for racing purposes. Just being involved wasn't enough for Rotax - they were also highly competitive, with a highlight when they took 9 out of the top 10 positions in the 1988 CIK Karting World Championship.

Rotax MAX EngineIn 1997 Rotax launched the "Rotax Max" Engines, and in 1999 they launched their own racing series - the Rotax Max Challenge - which is raced in countries all over the world and culminates in a Grand Final race into which the top drivers from national and regional Max Challenge are invited to take part to determine the overall Max Challenge Champions.

The Rotax Max engines including all the different versions such as the MicroMax, Junior-Max, and DD2 together with the Rotax Max Challenge have changed the face of the Karting World. The Rotax Grand Finals are considered as the largest and most international karting event on the calendar. Over 200 drivers from over 50 countries take part in the racing.

The Rotax Max Challenge in Malaysia and the Asia Zone series is open to all ages, from 8 to over 60! The MicroMax category is for kids from 8 to 12, the Junior category is the next stage up for drivers from 13-16. For those ages 15 and above you can race in the DD2 category or the Seniors.
